Starbucks is one of the most popular brands of coffee and who doesn’t love a bargain?  Here are the coffee tips and tricks to show you how to save on your favourites and even get free drinks! Lets dive right in:

Whether you need a quick pick me up coffee, meeting a friend, waiting for the Pumpkin Spice Latte (or as they say, a PSL) or a cool drink in the summer, you need to know the Starbucks hacks. Starbucks TOP 10 hacks

These are the best ways to get free and cheap drinks at Starbucks:

1. Get refillable Starbucks coffee

   If you pay £2.70 for a filter coffee, you can get unlimited free refills. This means if you pay the one-off fee, you can keep filling your cup all day! 

   A great tip if you need a coffee house for studying, writing essays, working, or want to drink more coffee during your visit!

2. Save money every time you buy a drink

   If you love your reusable cup, take it with you everywhere, you can save money each time at Starbucks. All you have to do is bring your own reusable cup and get them to fill it up instead of giving you a disposable one, and you’ll get 25p off your purchase every time you go.

   You’ll now be saving even more on Starbucks, as now they have a 5p charge for every drink in a paper cup – so by bringing your own, you’ll effectively be saving 30p per drink.

   It doesn’t sound like a lot, but after you’ve bought a few drinks, you’ll have saved enough for a free Starbucks (girl math!)

3. Use the Starbucks loyalty card for free drinks

   The Starbucks Reward Card is completely free. Once you sign up you’ll be a qualified Green Member. If you collect points with your Reward Card every time you go to Starbucks, you’ll bag yourself a free drink every time you hit 150 stars!

   You’ll get three stars for every £1 you spend, so once you hit this level, your next drink is on Starbucks. 

   If you don’t go to Starbucks that often, you could always ask your friends and family to scan your card when they visit. However, it’s worth getting one regardless to accumulate the points over your visits. 

4. Get free Starbucks on your birthday

   

   Starbucks Reward Card members who have achieved Gold status can receive a free drink on their birthday – bonus! 

   To qualify for the Gold level, you’ll need to collect 450 stars – you get three stars for every £1 you spend – or the equivalent to £150-ish, depending on what your orders are. If you purchase one Starbucks a week already, you’ll qualify for the Gold, but we wouldn’t recommend buying drinks just to reach the Gold. If you already purchase Starbucks coffee frequently, you’ll most likely hit the tier with ease.

5. Add free syrups, shots of coffee and whipped cream with Starbucks Gold Tier 

   When you reach the Gold you’ll be able to get extra shots of coffee, whipped cream and selected syrups for free – another bonus and way to save money! 

   When majority of coffee shops charge for the syrups and extras these savings help along the way, or even if you wish to try different types of drinks this is a great way to taste them at no extra cost. 

6. Get three small drinks for the price of one

   Depending how thrifty you want to be, you can order the largest cup size drink on the menu and ask for another smaller empty cup.

   You’ll be able to split the drink over two over the smaller cups. Absolute winner!

7. Get cheaper iced lattes

   Did you know you could make a Grande Iced Latte for less? This is a type of DIY Starbucks hack you can do instore.

   We suggest ordering a double shot of espresso, a cup of ice (this is free) and then filling up with milk from the side counter – which is also free!

   This hack will save you money and you have the same Grande Iced Latte.
