Income Methods: Low Effort Ways To Earn Money

AUTOMATE YOUR SAVINGS

I use these as a treat fund. I can round up my spare cash or automate savings with low effort so I can forget about the money accumulating, and surprise myself later in the year or whenever I fancy – girl math!

There are tons of applications that can do this for you, but the most simple way is to set up a weekly/monthly direct debit of a chosen amount (that you know you can afford) from your current account to a savings account.

My Plum app has a range of different features on the free version to help me automate, invest, and save.

Monzo £5 free – Monzo is an online banking app. Get £5 free when you open an account and make a card payment in 30 days.

Revolut – 3 Payments of £5 to be made to receive the bonus.

Lightyear £10 sign up bonus when you’ve deposit your first £1

SHOP THROUGH A CASHBACK WEBSITE

If you’re online shopping there’s websites you need to head to first before your chosen store. If the store is on their website you can earn money each time you shop through their website. This means you’re saving money with low effort before finding those great online bargains! I have now earned over £300 with very little effort.

Earning cashback with cashback websites is simple! I’ve compiled the cashback sites below:

TopCashback is simple. Visit the retailer you want to shop at through the website and do your shopping as normal. TopCashback earn a commission for referring you to the retailer and give this commission back to you! They have a £10 sign up bonus.

Quidco
Earning cashback with Quidco is easy. Visit the brand you want to shop at through their website and do your shopping as normal. Quidco earn a commission for referring you to the retailer and give this commission back to you!

BeFrugal Free $10 Visit the brand you want to shop at through their website and do your shopping as normal. BeFrugal earn a commission for referring you to the retailer and give this commission back to you!

AUTOMATIC Phone Bill CASHBACK APPS

Imagine spending on your card and you receive cash back which builds up and can be used to pay off your phone bill. That’s exactly what Airtime Rewards have done! Simply download the app, link your bank/card so the app sees the transactions and if you shop with any of their partners you will receive cashback!

The app tracks the payment automatically so you do not need to open or click through this app before you shop. It tracks it from your bank/card purchases. An additional layer of cashback if you use a cashback website and Airtime Rewards.

  • Airtime Rewards (promo code: U7RUXGBF) – earn £1.50 sign up bonus for automated cashback on your everyday purchases. Sign up, link a card, and start earning cashback at Boots, Wilko’s, Argos, Boots and more!

SHARE YOUR ONLINE DATA

Gener8 is an extension that, once downloaded, will run in the background while you browse the internet. You are then credited tokens for every ad that you see (you do not need to click on them). These tokens can then be exchanged for gadgets, gift cards and charity donations.

Gener8 predicts that the average user could generate around £20-£40 a month depending on usage.

YouGov will pay you for your online data through their YouGov Safe browser extension.

GET PAID TO SEARCH THE WEB

Swagbucks lets you surf the web and you’ll start making money for your searches!

Swagbucks will also reward you points to watch videos, play games and take part in monthly challenges! These points can then be exchanged for gift cards, charity donations and cash straight to your PayPal. Up to £10 sign up bonus.

Qmee will also reward you for simply searching the web when you have their browser extension installed.

Inboxpounds will also pay you daily to search their web. £1 Sign up bonus

Did you know Bing allows you to earn money through Microsoft rewards. Microsoft rewards also allow you to earn daily points for taking part in quizzes.

WATCH VIDEOS ON YOUR PHONE

WeAre8 reward you for watching short videos on your phone. You can earn anything between 10-50p per video. The advertisers also donates some of their advertising budget to charity – win-win!

COMPLETE ONLINE SURVEYS

Completing surveys in your spare time is a great way to earn a little extra cash. There are lots of different survey websites and apps but here are my top 5 for surveys you can complete on the go.

I regularly use all of these survey apps/websites. I make between £50-£150 a month taking part in surveys during my downtime, dinner break, or during the adverts of my favourite TV shows. They add up throughout the month!

There are many different websites to enter competitions on and some sites are dedicated to finding competitions to enter. I have also found a free lottery that has daily entries and winners:

Pick My Postcode – A free every day lottery for the chance to win!

There are many companies who offer referral programmes where you can earn a reward for inviting someone to sign up for a particular service – known as ‘Refer A Friend’.

Once you’ve signed up to the programmes, you can start referring people for yourself! Here are some example referral programmes that you can regularly earn money from:

  • Zilch £5 free – Create a Zilch account, complete the ID verification and buy a free £5 gift card.
  • Monzo £5 free – Monzo is an online banking app. Get £5 free when you open an account and make a card payment in 30 days.

Compare your bills to save

One of the ways you can save in your household is to compare your bills!

Use the comparison websites to see if you’re able to switch over any bills or contracts and save monthly from there. I do this every year with my phone bill and they honour the new prices quite a lot. I also have done this for my broadband and other household bills.
