CUPP Wilmslow Road Manchester Review: Taiwanese Toast, Boba Tea, Korean Chicken and Brilliant Food Deals
If you are looking for somewhere a little different to eat in Manchester, CUPP on Wilmslow Road is worth putting on your list. I popped in to try its Taiwanese-style toast and ended up discovering a menu that goes well beyond bubble tea, with Korean-inspired street food, loaded waffle fries, rice bowls, sandos, matcha, iced coffee, cookies and some interesting meal deals.
As a Mancunian food and travel blogger, I am always looking for places that offer something different, whether that is a new dessert, an independent food spot, a restaurant deal or somewhere worth visiting when exploring Manchester. CUPP caught my attention because it combines sweet treats and drinks with proper savoury food, so you can visit for a coffee and cake, a dessert stop or a full meal.
And the Taiwanese toast? That was banging!

With Taiwanese French toast from around £6, bubble tea from around £5.90, iced coffee from £4.20 and food-and-drink meal deals, there is quite a lot to explore. Here is my CUPP Manchester review, including what I tried, what is on the menu, the prices to look out for and whether I think the deals are worth considering.
Where Is CUPP on Wilmslow Road in Manchester?
CUPP Wilmslow Road is in Rusholme, Manchester, making it an option if you are exploring the area, visiting the Curry Mile or looking for bubble tea and food outside the usual city centre spots.

Taiwanese Toast at CUPP Manchester: Was It Worth It?
Let’s start with the thing I tried, because this is what made the visit for me.
CUPP serves Taiwanese-style French toast, which takes the idea of traditional toast and turns it into something much more indulgent. Think soft, sweet, custard-infused bread with sauces, crumbs and toppings that make it feel more like a dessert than your average breakfast toast.
I tried the Taiwanese toast and it was absolutely banging. It is the sort of thing I would recommend to anyone who loves sweet treats and wants something different from the usual brownie, cookie or slice of cake.
The menu includes options such as Biscoff Caramel Crumble Toast, Brown Sugar Boba Toast, Oreo Cookie Crumble Toast and Pistachio Chocolate Crunch Taiwanese Toast. The exact selection can change, so check the current menu before visiting.
Prices on the menus I checked put several of the Taiwanese toast options at around £6, with the pistachio version around £6.50.
For me, that makes it an interesting dessert option if you fancy trying something different in Manchester. It is also a good choice if you are looking for somewhere to go with a friend and order a sweet treat rather than committing to a full restaurant meal.
Taiwanese Toast With Ice Cream at CUPP
If you like your desserts with an extra scoop of something cold and creamy, ice cream is another option to look out for.
I saw the ice cream listed at £6 on its own, with additional toppings costing 70p each. That gives you the option to customise your dessert without necessarily spending a fortune on extras.
The toast is already quite indulgent, so whether you add ice cream or extra toppings depends on how much of a sweet tooth you have.
If you are searching for cheap Taiwanese French toast in Manchester, dessert toast near Rusholme or somewhere for a sweet treat on Wilmslow Road, CUPP is definitely one to consider.
CUPP Manchester Menu and Prices: What Can You Get?
One of the things I found interesting about CUPP is the variety. It is not just a bubble tea shop where you pop in for a drink and leave. You can also get a meal, a dessert, a coffee or a combination of several things.
Here is a breakdown of the prices I noted during my visit and the menu options available.
CUPP Manchester Prices From Lowest to Highest
£3 and upwards: Cookies and cakes
If you fancy a smaller treat, CUPP offers cookies and other sweet snacks. Options include pistachio cookies and millionaire shortbread, with prices starting from around £3. This is a good place to start if you want something sweet with your coffee without ordering a full dessert.
£4.20 and upwards: Iced coffee
Iced coffee starts from around £4.20, making it worth comparing with the cost of ordering a coffee and cake together. If you are mainly visiting for a caffeine fix and a sweet treat, this may be a better-value option than ordering a more expensive speciality drink.
£5: Coffee, matcha and tea offers
CUPP has coffee, matcha and tea options, with an offer of selected drinks for £5! That means get a coffee and a cake for just £5!
£5.90 and upwards: Boba tea
Bubble tea prices start from around £5.90 for some drinks, depending on the recipe and size. There are milk teas, fruit teas, lemonades, brown sugar drinks, matcha boba and other flavours to explore.
£6 and upwards: Taiwanese toast and ice cream
Taiwanese-style toast options start from around £6, with more elaborate combinations such as pistachio and chocolate costing a little more. With ice cream its £7, with toppings available for an additional 70p each.
£8.50 and upwards: Sandos
If you want something savoury, CUPP has hot sandos, with prices starting from around £8.50. You can also look out for the sando meal deal, which combines food and a drink for around £11.
£9 and upwards: Street food meal deals

The street food meal deal is one of the more best options if you want a proper meal and a drink which is cheap, but flavourful! £9, combining a street food dish or dirty fries with boba tea.
£11: Bowl and Boba
If you prefer a rice-based meal, the Bowl and Boba deal combines a rice bowl with bubble tea for around £11, according to the prices I noted.
Prices may vary between the shop and delivery platforms, and promotions can change. Check the current menu for the exact price before ordering.
CUPP Boba Tea and Toast Deal: Is It Worth It?
One of the offers worth looking out for is the boba tea and toast deal, advertised from around £9. It combines a Taiwanese-style French toast dessert with a bubble tea, giving you both a sweet treat and a drink in one order.
Considering that individual toast options can cost around £6 and some bubble teas start at around £5.90, buying them separately could cost nearly £12 before any extras. A bundle can therefore make more sense if you want both.
This is particularly appealing if you are visiting CUPP with a friend, planning a dessert date or looking for somewhere different to go after a meal around Rusholme.
I would compare the exact drinks and toast options included in the deal before ordering, as the final price can depend on the choices available.
Coffee and Cake at CUPP Manchester: Better Value Than Boba?
Here is something worth considering if you are watching your spending.
Although CUPP is known for bubble tea, you do not necessarily need to spend nearly £6 or more on a speciality boba drink to enjoy a visit. Iced coffee starts from around £4.20, while cookies and sweet snacks start from around £3.
That makes coffee and cake an option worth comparing against some of the more expensive drinks.
For example, if you choose a coffee and a cookie, your total could start at around £7.20 based on those starting prices. That gives you a drink and a sweet treat without necessarily spending as much as you might on a speciality bubble tea and a dessert.
If you prefer matcha, check the current £5 coffee, matcha and tea offer, where eligible. This could be another way to try something different without automatically choosing one of the more expensive drinks.
Of course, the best-value option depends on what you actually fancy. If bubble tea is the whole reason you are visiting, then go for the boba. But if you simply want somewhere to sit with a drink and a sweet treat, I would compare the coffee and cake options first.
CUPP Bubble Tea Manchester: What Flavours Can You Try?
CUPP has a broad bubble tea menu, with options for people who enjoy creamy milk teas as well as those who prefer fruitier drinks.
Bubble tea, also known as boba tea, originated in Taiwan and typically combines tea with milk or fruit flavours and chewy tapioca pearls or other toppings. CUPP’s menu includes several different styles, so there is more to explore than just one classic milk tea.
Options on the Manchester menu include:
- Brown sugar milk tea and brown sugar drinks
- Classic milk tea
- Taro milk tea
- Mango fruit tea
- Fruit teas and lemonades
- Matcha boba
- Coffee boba
- Pistachio-inspired drinks
- Cloud-style drinks and blended options
- Seasonal drinks and limited-edition flavours
Some drinks are available hot or iced, depending on the recipe. The menu changes seasonally, so there may be different flavours to try throughout the year!
If you are searching for the best bubble tea in Rusholme, boba tea on Wilmslow Road or a bubble tea shop in Manchester with food as well as drinks, CUPP has enough variety to make it worth browsing the menu.
CUPP’s Boba With Benefits Range: Bubble Tea With Added Protein
One of the more unusual parts of the menu is CUPP’s Boba With Benefits range.
This range combines bubble tea with protein powder, offering something a little different from a standard sweet drink. It is an interesting concept for anyone who enjoys trying new drinks and wants to see how protein can be incorporated into a café-style menu.
I also like that CUPP has thought about the savoury side of its menu rather than relying entirely on drinks and desserts. You can choose a protein-enhanced boba drink alongside a meal, although the nutritional value will depend on the particular drink, ingredients and portion size.

CUPP Manchester Street Food Meal Deal: Korean Chicken and Dirty Waffle Fries
Now, this is where CUPP surprised me.
I tried the sticky Korean chicken as part of the street food offering, and it was one of the things that made the menu stand out to me. Rather than just serving bubble tea and desserts, CUPP has options for people who want something savoury and filling as well.
The menu includes dishes such as sticky Korean chicken, yakitori chicken skewers and dirty chicken waffle fries. There is a mix of flavours and textures, so you can choose something that feels more like a meal than a snack.
Sticky Korean Chicken
I tried the sticky Korean chicken, which was a great option if you fancy something savoury with a sweet, sticky sauce. It is the sort of dish that works well as a street food-style meal, particularly if you are after something different from the usual sandwich or burger.
Yakitori Chicken Skewers
Yakitori-style chicken skewers are another option to look out for if you enjoy Japanese-inspired street food. They give you an alternative to the loaded fries and chicken dishes, with a different presentation and flavour profile.

Dirty Chicken Waffle Fries
The dirty chicken waffle fries are worth mentioning because they were listed at around £8 on their own when I checked the menu.
If you already fancy the fries and want a drink as well, the street food meal deal becomes particularly interesting.
The meal deal is £9, including a street food dish or dirty fries with a boba tea. That means the difference between ordering the dirty chicken waffle fries alone and choosing a meal deal is a bargain! We love a Manchester food deal here!
If you’re going to order both food and a drink anyway, checking the meal deal first makes sense.
For me, that is the sort of offer worth looking out for when deciding where to eat in Manchester. It is not just about finding the cheapest item on a menu. It is about getting a combination that suits your appetite and gives you better value for the money you spend.
CUPP Meal Deals: Street Food, Sandos, Rice Bowls and Boba
CUPP has several meal combinations that make it easier to turn a drink or snack stop into a proper meal.
Street Food Meal: Around £9
This deal combines a street food dish or dirty fries with a boba tea. If you want something savoury and a drink, this is the offer I would check first.

Bowl and Boba: Around £11

The Bowl and Boba deal combines a rice bowl with a bubble tea. This is worth considering if you prefer a meal served with rice rather than loaded fries or a sandwich.
Sando Meal Deal: Around £11
CUPP also serves hot sandos, with individual options starting from around £8.50. The meal deal is worth checking if you want a sandwich-style meal with a drink.
Tea and Toast: Around £9
If you have more of a sweet tooth, the Tea and Toast deal combines Taiwanese-style French toast with boba tea. It is an option for dessert lovers who want to try the toast and have a saving on the tea!
CUPP Manchester Offers: Monday Deals and Seasonal Drinks
If you like trying new drinks but do not want to pay full price every time, it is worth keeping an eye on CUPP’s promotions.
Monday 2-for-1 Offers
The Monday offer is a 2-for-1 promotion. This is worth checking if you are visiting with a friend and want to try more than one drink or eligible menu item.
Make sure you confirm which products are included. However, download the app, and you can order straight from there and earn points!
Matcha Offers
CUPP has included the Matcha in the 241 deal which is amazing because now you can get matcha deals in Manchester and have 241 on a Monday!
Seasonal Drinks at CUPP
CUPP changes its menu throughout the year, with seasonal drinks designed around different flavours and occasions.
The autumn 2026 menu currently listed on the Manchester ordering menu includes:
- Pumpkin Spice Boba Latte
- Cinnamon Bun Boba
- Brown Sugar Pumpkin
There are also other speciality drinks across the menu, including pistachio-inspired options, matcha drinks, coffee-based boba and blended fruit flavours. The range can change, so check the latest menu to see what is currently available.
CUPP’s Irn-Bru Range
Another fun addition is CUPP’s Irn-Bru range. It is an unexpected twist for a bubble tea brand and adds something different to the drinks menu.
If you enjoy Irn-Bru and like trying unusual café drinks, this is a range worth checking out. Look at the current menu for the specific flavours, combinations and prices available at the Manchester branch!
Cookies at CUPP Manchester: Pistachio, Millionaire Shortbread and More
Sometimes you do not want a full dessert. You just want a coffee and something sweet.
CUPP has cookies and other cakes and snacks, including pistachio cookies and millionaire shortbread, with options starting from around £3.
This makes the snack menu worth exploring if you are stopping by for a quick treat rather than a full meal.
If you are searching for cookies in Rusholme, coffee and cake on Wilmslow Road or a sweet treat in Manchester, CUPP offers a few alternatives to the usual bakery options.
Is CUPP on Wilmslow Road Worth Visiting?
For me, the main appeal is the variety!
I went in to try the Taiwanese toast, which was banging, and found a menu that covers much more than I expected. You can get a sweet treat, a bubble tea, a coffee, a rice bowl, a sando or a street food-style meal, depending on what you fancy.
I also like that there are several price points. You can keep things relatively simple with a cookie and coffee, try the Taiwanese toast, or choose one of the meal deals if you want food and a drink together.

The street food menu makes CUPP particularly interesting if you are not just looking for somewhere to buy bubble tea. I tried the sticky Korean chicken, and dishes such as yakitori chicken skewers and dirty chicken waffle fries give you more options to explore.

From a value-for-money perspective, I would compare the meal deals with buying each item individually. The street food meal, Bowl and Boba, and Tea and Toast combinations may make sense if you want both food and a drink anyway.
The offers are also worth keeping an eye on, especially if you are visiting on a Monday or want to try one of the seasonal drinks.
Would I recommend trying the Taiwanese toast? Absolutely. If you love indulgent desserts and want to try something a little different from the usual café cake, that is the item that stood out for me.
My Verdict: CUPP Manchester Review
CUPP on Wilmslow Road is worth considering if you are looking for bubble tea, Taiwanese-style French toast, coffee, matcha or something savoury to eat in Rusholme.
My highlight was the Taiwanese toast, which was banging, but the wider menu is what makes the place interesting. From sticky Korean chicken and dirty chicken waffle fries to cookies, seasonal boba and the Irn-Bru range, there is plenty to explore.
I would particularly recommend checking the meal deals if you are planning to order both food and a drink. The street food meal at around £9, Bowl and Boba at around £11, and Tea and Toast deal from around £9 are options worth comparing with the individual menu prices.
If you are after a simple coffee and cake, the iced coffee and snack options could also be worth considering. You do not necessarily need to order the most expensive speciality drink to enjoy a visit.
Overall, CUPP is a fun option for a sweet treat, a drink or a casual meal. If you are exploring Rusholme, looking for a bubble tea shop on Wilmslow Road or simply want to try Taiwanese toast in Manchester, I would put it on your list.
